TransMalariaBloc is a collaborative, multi-centre EU-funded research project. Its aim is to facilitate the discovery of novel methods of Blocking Malaria Transmisison. Participating researchers are based at several research institutes across Europe and Africa.

The research of TransMalariaBloc focuses on exploring the mosquito vector as a target for transmission blocking. The project encompasses many facets of malaria parasite and vector biology, with its associated research falling into eight distinct Work Packages. Each Work Package is spearheaded by a Team Leader.
