Work Package 5: Transmission Blocking via Immune Mosquitoes

The role of Work Package 5 aims to generate genetically modified (GM) A. gambiae lines that are immune (refractory) to P. falciparum infections. It will exploit available knowledge on mosquito immunity genes and macromolecular protease inhibitors.
